Sodium hydroxide solution is added by means of a built in manual dispenser and the control selector is moved to the steam position. Distillation timer switch is an infinitely adjustable 0-15 minute timer that controls dispensing of steam into the digestion tube. Each distillation takes 5-10 minutes.
