This assembly utilizes a fume removal system which provides safe fume removal. Fumes pass from the ceramic duct through a special plastic manifold preventing contamination or dripping. The electric heater features a curved core plate that nests around the flask, giving faster, more equally distributed heat. An infinite heat control for each heater controls the 600 Watt elements for digestion and distillation. Suction is furnished by a direct through-put corrosion resistant blower which is located at the left end of the Kjeldahl digestion manifold. Fumes are drawn from the flask, pass through the blower, and are exhausted to the atmosphere through a duct. Drainage from the stack and the blower housing is handled through a condensate drain tube to a waste container or the room drain. A water ejector fume exhaust can be furnished. Kjeldahl flasks of 500 or 800 mL capacity can be used with these units. Distillation portion of the unit is equipped with seamless stainless steel tubes. For operation on 115/230 volts, 60Hz, single phase.
