Solvents and samples are aspirated through the columns via a vacuum of 15 in. Hg. Sample eluates are collected in tubes positioned in a removable rack placed inside the manifold. Collected eluates are either used directly or evaporated and reconstituted in an appropriate solvent for further analysis. Up to 24 columns can be processed simultaneously.
