Consists of a cylindrical body threaded to receive upper and lower covers. A tapered plunger closes against the bottom opening acting as a valve to admit the sample. The top includes a lock to keep the plunger closed after the sample is taken. Constructed of nickel-plated brass and bronze throughout, these samplers conform with specifications of ASTM D117, D270 and D923.
