These test kits make it easy to test for total caustic strength. A sample is reacted with barium to precipitate any carbonates, this is titrated with a standard acid to the phenolphthalein endpoint. The kits are supplied in two convenient configurations listed.
DIRECT READING TITRATOR:
The Direct Reading Titrator is a 1.0mL microburet calibrated to allow direct reading of the test result. Each Titrator has a range of 0-10%/0.2% NaOH. Includes 4 reagents and is suitable for 50 tests at 10%.
DROPPER BOTTLE:
The dropper bottles test uses bottle tips which deliver a consistent standard drop size to add titrant to the sample. The number of drops used to complete the reaction is multiplied by a given equivalence factor to determine the concentration. Dropper bottle range is 1 drop = 0.1 or 1% NaOH. Includes 3 reagents, suitable for 50 tests at 10% NaOH.
