The thermistor-based unit includes a rugged probe that can be used to penetrate semi-solid materials and liquids. The probe is white and has a 1m (3.3 Ft.) cable attached. The thermometer features Hanna exclusive BEPS (Battery Error Preventive System) electronics that warns the user of a low battery situation and will shut the meter down if erroneous readings may be taken due to low voltage. A variety of accessories are available. The picture above illustrates the thermometer with the optional shockproof rubber boot. The meter includes: 3AA batteries (2000 Hour Battery Life), probe, and instructions.
