The Spring Torque Tester is known industry wide for dependable quality control of closure tightness in bottling operations. The Spring Torque Tester is the one instrument that bottlers everywhere rely on to verify cap removal torque values.
Operation Method:
The bottle is inserted into the bottle clamp device and fixed by four rubber coated pins. The removal torque is stored by the tester and recorded by the operator. For 28mm beverage caps an incremental torque value is typically recorded. An optional incremental torque fixture is available. The fixture allows the operator to measure the torque required to return the cap to a position 6° past the original position. Spring Torque Testers are available in three ranges and two measuring scales.
