Used for setting the base plate force (spring force) in can seaming machines. Once this setting is established, the Force Gauge can be used to quickly and easily set multiple station seamers. Accurate, compact, and rugged, these force cells come with an adjustable self-loading micrometer dial, calibrated in .001". Users may accurately deflect spring-loaded can wear plates to any desired dimension. The vertical deflection of the cell is low (approx. .008" full range) and is printed on the dial face, so the operator can compensate for error of vertical deflection of the cell by rotating the dial as indicated. The force cell has a range of 25-500 lbs.
