Combine the standard technique of Karl Fischer moisture analysis with a high speed blender revolving at 7500 rpm and you have the Orion TURBO2. This technique eliminates the problem of moisture loss or gain associated with standard sample preparation. When linked to an analytical balance, the Orion TURBO2 becomes a semi-automatic analyzer capable of handling a continuous throughput of samples. To accommodate a wide range of materials, a large access port in the vessel top plate permits the introduction of samples up to 28 mm (1-1/8") in diameter. In addition, the end-point detection electrode is built into the vessel sidewall, giving it complete protection from the movement of solids during blending. Electronic monitors and safety interlocks protect the user from unsafe instrument operation. The Orion TURBO2 will blend the sample, extract, and analyze the moisture in the same vessel, then print a report containing results, methods and statistics for FDA compliance. Simply weigh and introduce any solid or semi-solid sample such as tablets, pills, candy or gum into the vessel and obtain an accurate moisture result in minutes. Supplied complete with built-in printer, 750 mL titration vessel, dual RS232 interface, line cord, spare silicone pump tubing and extra roll of printer paper.
