Calorimeter, Oxygen Combustion Bomb-Automatic, Isoperibol, Parr Model 6300
A highly automated calorimeter to free the user from manual operations required for traditional operations and minimize operator time required per test. The Model 6300 Calorimeter utilizes the proven fixed bomb and bucket technology used in previous models for the last ten years. The unit is compliant with ASTM, ISO, DIN and BS standard test methods. Repeatability (%RSD) is 0.10. Maximum sample size is 8000 calories. The jacket, oxygen filling system, bomb washing, calorimeter controller and the touch screen are built in to the console. Smaller than pervious models it is 16.5 inches wide, 15.5 inches deep and 17.0 inches high. The unit requires tap water, drain, oxygen supply and 115/230 volt power source. Users should note the Model 1757 Printer, is not included. Those who wish to use the washings for analytical purposes will need a supply of de-ionized water. The bomb body and bucket in the Model 6300 are permanently mounted in the calorimeter, but the bomb head with its attached electrodes and sample holder must be removed for loading the sample and attaching the auxiliary cotton fuse. The loaded head is then returned to the calorimeter and the bomb closed with a simple 23 degree turn of the twist-lock closure. An integral, microprocessor-based controller built into the Calorimeter provides menu driven operating controls, data acquisition, data processing, data reporting and communication capabilities, with a bright back-lit liquid crystal display. Communication with a PC is by Ethernet. Users with water supplies that are corrosive will want to consider the Models 1564 or 6520 Water Recirculating Systems. Chlorine Service Models are also available.
