This bomb body is fabricated of a polymer resin which is microwave transparent. The material has excellent chemical resistance to the common mineral acids used in digestion procedures. Microwave heating drastically reduces digestion time. Many materials are dissolved or digested in one minute or less heating time. No tools are needed to close the bomb, simply hand tighten the knurled cap. Includes TeflonŽ cup.
