With the new, highly accurate RESISTANCE RATIO TECHNOLOGY (RRT), the 3204 Conductivity Instrument continually compares the resistance of the sample to a calibrated resistor in the circuit. This gives the 3204 the best resolution, stability, and accuracy for measuring low conductivity solutions, such as ultrapure water.
The user can select between conductivity, resistivity, salinity and total dissolved solids. The Model 3204 measures conductance from 0 µS to 3S, allowing for the analysis of a variety of samples on one instrument. In addition, it can be calibrated with up to 5 different conductivity standard solutions. The instrument chooses the conductivity calibration closest to the sample when measuring the sample’s conductivity. This means that any one conductivity cell can be used over a wide conductivity range without having to recalibrate to suit a particular sample’s conductivity.
The 3204 will perform automatic linear temperature compensation. In addition, it has the capability of non-linear temperature compensation. Place a cell in a sample and ramp up the temperature.
